A.M.R Drops Latest Single “Smile” via Monstercat
Cinematic producer and audio engineer A.M.R hails from Qatar where he grew up composing and studying audio engineering in his bedroom studio. He has a multi-textural sound that is inspired by worldly elements that translate themselves to beautiful chord progressions that are uplifting and transportive. This sound is most apparent in his latest single that is out now via Monstercat “Smile.”
The latest single “Smile” samples traditional chants from the Maasai tribe in Kenya with the intention of highlighting the happiness and playful nature of the children of the village. With a deep respect for the rich cultural history in Africa, “Smile” is an ode to the ancient rituals that shaped the musical heart of Kenya. “Smile” features a graceful piano chord progression with light drums and is brought together nicely with the chant providing a multi level soundscape that will certainly soothe the ears.
Although he recently has begun to explore deep & progressive house, A.M.R has been known for making trance that attracted support from household names such as Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, and Tiësto. With more music in store, A.M.R is certainly a new progressive act to keep an eye on for the duration of 2021.
