Above & Beyond Pier of Fear Brought Sold-Out Halloween Event to NYC With Anjunabeats Guests
Famed Anjunabeats trio, Above & Beyond, brought thousands of party-goers to Pier 94
RPM’s Pier of Fear event series returned to New York City with Above & Beyond to kick-off Halloween weekend in the city that never sleeps. Paavo and Tony of the famed Anjunabeats trio delivered a two-hour set at Pier 94—and they brought along label-mates Jason Ross, Grum, and Yotto.
Straight off their recent sold-out ABGT 200 event at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam where Above & Beyond celebrated 200 episodes of their renowned Group Therapy radio, the guys returned to New York for the first time since their Acoustic show in May.
Kicking things off to a melodic start at 1 a.m., Above & Beyond began with uplifting instrumental before almost immediately evolving into some of their notable progressive and melodic sounds. Their newly released “A.I.” and soon-to-be-released OceanLab production, “Another Chance,” were also Pier of Fear set inclusions. “Another Chance” is slated for official release on Nov. 4th through Anjunabeats. An accompanying music video was released just in time for Hallowen, and can be viewed below:
Included in their Pier of Fear ensemble were We Are All We Need album anthems “Sticky Fingers” ft. Alex Vargas, “Counting Down The Days” ft. Gemma Hayes, “Fly To New York” feat. Zoe Johnston, “Hello,” and “Blue Sky Action” ft. Alex Vargas.
Paavo and Tony also serenaded Pier of Fear-goers with Mash-up’s of “Mariana Trench” and Tiësto’s “Flight 643,” as well as their remix of Moby’s “Porcelain.”
On the Group Therapy album frontier, the guys included tracks “Sun & Moon” and “On My Way To Heaven” ft. Richard Bedford. New York loves its classics, which is why it came as no surprise that the guys featured “Alone Tonight” and “On A Good Day.”
