Alesso Illuminates Light Nightclub at Mandalay Bay Las Vegas During EDC Week
EDC Week completely dominates the Las Vegas Strip in June each year, and this year, it was the biggest installment yet. With the help of internationally acclaimed Swedish DJ and producer Alesso, Light Nightclub at Mandalay Bay shined even brighter. On Saturday, June 20, Alessandro Lindblad—better known to fans as Alesso—provided a headlining EDC Weekend nightclub performance at The Light Vegas.
Alesso released his debut artist album “Forever” through Def Jam Recordings on May 22, 2015, which includes the hit single releases “Heroes (We Could Be)” featuring Tove Lo, “Under Control” with Calvin Harris featuring Hurts, “If I Lose Myself” with OneRepublic, “Cool” featuring Roy English, and “Tear The Roof Up,” among others. “Forever” is available on iTunes.
Aside from showcasing a slew of featured album productions, which fans were eagerly anticipating in the Las Vegas venue powered by Cirque du Soleil, Alesso provided some additional magical moments. Some set highlights, which had the crowd in an uproar were the latest single release from Axwell /\ Ingrosso, “Sun Is Shining” followed by Swedish House Mafia “Don’t You Worry Child” featuring John Martin. Alesso also included a well-received mash-up of La Fuente’s “Selecta” with Florence & The Machine’s “Spectrum (Say My Name),” as well as Gregor Salto’s “Afrobot (Wiwek Remix).” During Alesso’s “Cool,” which features Roy English, the hyped crowd was hands-in-the-air as a full-blown sing-a-long ensued.
In addition to Alesso on Saturday, Light Nightclub hosted DJ sets from A-Trak & Baauer (Wednesday, 6/17), Carl Cox (Thursday, 6/18), and Disclosure (Friday, 6/19) during this year’s EDC Week and EDC Weekend.
Celebrate Independence Day with Alesso as the Swedish talent returns to Light Nightclub in Las Vegas on July 4th (tickets here).
