Alesso Lights Up Miami Beach at Famed STORY Nightclub

It was a sweet escape this Friday night at Miami’s esteemed Story Nightclub, with an uplifting and kinetic soundtrack provided by none other than one of Sweden’s most revered producers, Alesso.

As the night grew darker partiers began to arrive at the venue’s doorsteps in all sorts of fancy fashion – flashy clubwear, exotic sports cars and all, as it certainly wouldn’t be an evening out at Story with anything less. The neon-lit club lives in an expanse 27,000 sq. ft. space that boasts 60 exclusive VIP tables and five full-service bars. Attending such a top-notch venue is always a night to remember, packed with stunning visuals, state-of-the-art lighting and design, and exotic performers. Story exudes luxury in all aspects of the word and provides an unparalleled nightlife experience that you certainly won’t forget. If you’re in the Miami Beach area, this is absolutely a place to add to your must-see lists.

Taking the stage just past 1:30 AM, Alesso made a celebratory entrance with confetti showers and colorful laser beams right from the start. There were so many club bangers included in his set (as you would expect,) as he kicked the night off with an amped up “Falling” edit and continued into crowd-favorite “Under Control” mashed up with NF’s “Let You Down.”  The intimate club setting made infectious tracks like “Years,” “Sweet Escape,” “Let Me Go,” and “I Wanna Know” even more exceptional. An aerialist adorned in Alesso gear rose up to the ceiling for an unforgettable performance during “Take My Breath Away” as vibrant lights and strobes darted across the room. Excitement broke out midway with the additional touch of bright blue glow sticks as they made their way down the dance floor and onto the heads and necks of everyone below. It is small but significant touches like this that sum up to creating an unforgettable night as only Story can. In combination with the upscale vibe and high-class sophistication, it really is no wonder why Story stands as one of Miami’s very best.

Specially gilded ladies stood above the crowd and danced with green and purple alien-themed dress that echoed that of Alesso’s “Remedy” music video. His most recent and highly successful single, “Remedy” has smashed the charts and has made its way into countless Spotify and Apple Music playlists. It was of course equally as smashing to hear live and is one of those songs that instantly spreads joy and a gigantic smile across your face.

As the party progressed Alesso carried the crowd through a sonic journey, exploring a variety of sounds throughout his nearly two and a half hour set. The ride vacillated between his signature upbeat tracks that hit you with the feels, a bit of deep house, typical club music, and popular EDM jams all while powerful gusts of cooling smoke burst out above, and electrifying lasers beamed overhead.

Although Story hosts innumerable nights with the world’s top talent in tow, this one felt a bit extra special. Alesso is one of those artists who just knows how to command a dance floor and keep the energy high. It is always such a nice feeling to be in the presence of such a world-class artist like Alesso and to hear him play so many legendary tracks, like his originals as well as classics of fellow Swedes Axwell Λ Ingrosso, Swedish House Mafia, and Avicii. Of course nothing stirs an audience quite like the nostalgic ring of “Don’t You Worry Child” and “Save The World,” but given this year’s happenings, it’s really the Avicii tributes that steal the show. It remains a blessing to witness his music continually bringing fans and friends closer together as they belt out the lyrics we all hold so dearly.

We’re excited for more to come from both Alesso and Story, as expectations always run high for each. Whether it be more chart-busting singles from Alesso or wild and unthinkable shenanigans at Story, we know we’ll certainly never be left feeling disappointed.
