Biicla Shows off Imagination in “Heart & Stay” Track
Out now across all platforms, Russian artist Biicla is stirring things up in “Heart & Stay.” The new single eludes to the sort of imaginative music Biicla is beginning to weave within the industry, and an exciting sign of things to come.
Discovered by the team that brought us Whethan, Oliver Tree and Mason Ramsey, Biicla is from an extremely small town in Russia called Labytnangi (born in Dubna) which has a population of less than 30,000. He’s had success in Russia and recently began to make waves in the US with his unique, international style of indie electronic music with the delivery of his first two global releases; “No Place,” which was premiered by This Song Is Sick and praised by Billboard in August, and “Girl” which came out last month. The Russian artist-to-watch is also a visual artist and has been studying graphic and clothing design for the last three years.
“Heart & Stay” breaks out of the gate with striking synths that stand alongside airy vocal pieces and sharp rhythms. As the song progresses, deeper tones carry more inventive tones from Biicla, and lead towards explorative sound patterns. “Heart & Stay” certainly intrigues us all with the particular charisma Biicla is portraying, and as the song comes to a close, alluring beats give the arrangement a flavorsome ending.
