Bonobo Receives Best Dance Recording GRAMMY Nomination for “Linked”
British-born artist, Bonobo, is returning to the worldwide spotlight, previously being nominated for two GRAMMY nominations for Best Electronic/Dance Album for Migration and Best Dance Recording for “Bambro Koyo Ganda.” Now based in Los Angeles, the electronic music producer has just garnered another GRAMMY nomination on his dreamy hit single, “Linked” for the Best Dance Recording category.
The track floats flawlessly telling its listeners a story with playful melodies, while driven by atmospheric pads and percussion. Solidifying his presence as an artist in the electronic music space, “Linked” puts Bonobo’s developed production craft to the forefront, as the ballad possesses a beautiful range of dynamics and sprinkled cinematic sound. Although Bonobo has built such a vast, loyal and engaged fanbase worldwide, gathering over half a million album sales, and 1.3 billion streams, the self-effacing artist isn’t phased by his success or achievements, as he allows his art and craft to act as his voice.
Bonobo has cemented himself within electronic music, as a figure of both technicality and artistry. His career thus far has been nothing short of impressive, having collaborated with the likes of Chet Faker, and featured on various established media outlets such as Billboard, Mixmag, and more. The beginning of the new decade is geared to be exciting with a slew of releases under the artist’s belt, while Bonobo is also expected to round out 2019 with a New Year’s Eve special DJ set at The Midway in San Francisco.
