Corey James & Santez Return for Fresh New Collab “Artifact From 83” [SIZE Records]
Corey James and Santez’s fresh collaboration “Artifact From 83” just landed on all platforms via Steve Angello’s SIZE Records, and we’re stoked to share this one with you as it’s a special deliverance from the guys on their return record.
“Artifact From 83” is a hard-hitting track that’s entranced with a dark vibe throughout. The drops pack heavy synths and drums, while the break features various intricate layers including a guitar riff, rap riddims, and a snare-driven build to drive up the crowd’s energy.
“In a time where everybody is sticking to 125/128 BPM and sounding similar, Santez and I wanted to try something completely different, outside of the box! I love ‘Artifact From 83’, it’s one of my personal favourites. When we were making it we had a lot of fun chopping old school rap vocals and combining them with some hard synths and big drums!” – Corey James
These Liverpool-based artists have been tearing up the dance circuits, both individually and together. “Artifact From 83” is the follow up to their 2017 released, BBC Radio 1 approved hit, “With You.” Corey James has seen massive outcomes this year alone from his hard work and dedication to perfecting his sound, including an official remix for Dada Life and a #3 spot on the Beatport electro House Chart for his solo track “DNA.” He’ll continue growing his fanbase all Summer long while making festival rounds at mega stops including Medusa and Creamfields.
Santez stems from DJ/Producer Sam Bradley as his diverse alias who flirts with a range of styles including Tech House, Techno, and Progressive House. He’s seen huge success in gathering support from Angello and the SIZE family, as well as other top-tier artists like Kryder and Pete Tong.
“I am buzzing to be back on Steve’s SIZE label, it means a lot to me! As soon as me and Corey finished ‘Artifact From 83’ we knew we had made something special, listening to downtempo electronic music got us both very inspired in the studio. We wanted to create something that sounds so fresh and unique, and this record is the outcome!” – Santez
