CTS EVENTIM Concludes Sales Option Agreement with Vivendi

CTS EVENTIM, a leading international provider of ticketing services and live entertainment, and Vivendi, a global leader in culture, entertainment, media and communications, have signed a put option agreement on the sale of Vivendi’s festival and international ticketing businesses. The transaction should be completed in the coming months, after consultation with the relevant employee representatives.

The proposed sale will provide new development opportunities for Vivendis festival portfolio and See Tickets’ international activities, while ensuring maximum continuity is guaranteed for all their partners.

See Tickets is a respected, major player in the industry: as the number two ticket provider in
Great Britain and a successful player in other markets, it offers comprehensive ticketing services for concerts, fairs, sporting events and more. In addition to Great Britain, the company that produces CTS is EVENTIM will also be active in seven other countries in Europe (Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland) and in the US. See Tickets sold approximately 44 million tickets worldwide in 2023 .

Vivendi has also created a diverse portfolio of carefully chosen music and live events that offer an excellent fan experience through a strong identity and a unique brand. Until the festivals include Junction 2 in the UK and Garorock in France. The ticketing and festival activities of Vivendi, which will take over CTS EVENTIM, jointly generated 137 million Euro (about 149 million Dollar) in revenue by 2023. The ticketing activities generated roughly 105 million Euro (about 124 million Dollar) of this, with the British market accounting for the largest share, followed by the American market market. The festival activities included in the current deal generated a further 32 million Euro (about 35 million Dollar).

With CTS EVENTIM, Vivendi has found a suitable new home for its festival and international events ticketing activities. The German company is the number one ticketing and live streaming provider entertainment services in Europe and number two in the world. It works passionately together with promoters and artists to create exceptional live entertainment for fans around the world – from global tours and regional concerts to major sporting events. The EVENTIM LIVE network is the largest festival promoter in Europe with 39 members. CTS EVENTIM has been around for many years active in the festival market and strives to continuously expand this vibrant segment.

The transaction ensures maximum continuity for staff, partners, the festivals themselves and the regions where these take place. Both See Tickets and the festivals retain their existing identities management. In line with its transformation strategy, Vivendi ensured internal and external growth of its ticketing and festival activities, by adapting them to the latest expectations of customers and public. These assets are now ready to enter a new phase in their development at a European-based company that has a major presence in the global live entertainment sector. The activities in Vivendi’s concert halls, including L’Olympia in Paris, as well as See Tickets France and Brive Festival are not part of this agreement.
