David Guetta & Sia Spread Message of Love & Hope in “Let’s Love”
This past Friday, dance music veteran David Guetta stepped in once again with A-List artist Sia for another one of their undeniable anthemic collaborations. “Let’s Love” is officially out now via Warner Records, and we had the distinct pleasure of celebrating the new record during a zoom Q&A call with David to kick off the weekend.
Stream numbers surpass 2 billion when it comes to David and Sia’s previous collaborations (including the everlasting “Titanium” and “She Wolf”). “Let’s love” is a song of depth, meaning, and impactful magnitude. During the zoom, David mentions what’s behind the song, speaking towards its intent to “see the planet as a whole, and go through this together.”
“During this time of isolation, I’ve been incredibly inspired to release music that has an uplifting energy. I love producing club tracks but at the same time, especially now, I feel like creating ‘feel-good’ music. ‘Let’s Love’ is a message of love, hope and bringing people together and once again, Sia has out done herself on the vocals.” – David Guetta
Diving into the song production itself, listeners immediately recognize the hot trend of the moment. Backed with an effortless 80s synth vibe, “Let’s Love” takes the world through a trip of time and space, yet points to today in every possible sense. David also spoke to our zoom crowd about how although he loves every kind of music, it’s that irresistible bounce that comes from a song that really gets him. Whether it’s trap, hip-hop, reggae, EDM, house, techno…the list goes on, it’s that feeling of wanting to dance that makes him appreciate a song. “Let’s Love” fits that description to a tee. Sia’s beautifully intense voice couldn’t be a more perfect fit to represent “Let’s Love” wholeheartedly.
Earlier this year, David Guetta raised over $1.5 million dollars for Covid-19 relief with his United At Home charity livestream events in Miami in April and New York City in May which has tallied over 50 million collective viewers. David’s Miami installment earned him the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for most viewers for a DJ set live stream on Facebook.
Additionally, Guetta has started a movement in the electronic music scene with his new Future Rave sound. In collaboration with MORTEN, their New Rave EP released this past July has DJs and fans alike eagerly waiting to experience the tracks live.
