deadmau5 Drops ‘Strobe (2024 Remix)’ EP

Joel Zimmerman, more commonly known as deadmau5 (pronounced ‘deadmouse’), is one of the world’s most respected electronic music producers of modern times. Now we see deadmau5’ classic track “Strobe” make its return again with a new twist as a package featuring new remixes by Victor Ruiz and OddKidOut in addition to the previously released 15th-anniversary remix by Layton Giordani. The strobe (2024 remixes) three-track EP follows other stellar remixes from deadmau5’ illustrious repertoire including the Jaded EP package, including “Jaded” remix by Volaris, Jauz’ “Ghosts ‘n’ Stuff,” John Summit’s “I Remember,” and Rebuke’s “Not Exactly,”.

Lisbon-based techno producer Victor Ruiz executes an elevating techno take on the legendary “Strobe.” Shares Ruiz, “deadmau5 has been one of the biggest influences in my career. . . remixing [Strobe] was a true honor and a massive personal milestone.”

Building up the all-star package, the Layton Giordani remix–which previously was released earlier this fall, becoming one of the 100 most played tracks at global music industry gathering ADE, “A paradoxical beast of nostalgia and futurism, Giordani’s remix is far more than just a nod to electronic music history. The red-hot producer has coaxed “Strobe” into the raw, unforgiving light of 2039’s techno bunkers, harnessing its ageless melody and channeling it through an unrelenting rhythm.
