Delta Heavy Jump Into New Music Friday With “Take Me Home” ft. Jem Cooke
Following their latest hit “Lift You Up,” with Zeds Dead, Delta Heavy is jumping into New Music Friday this month with “Take Me Home” featuring Jem Cooke, out today via Ram Records.
“Take Me Home” is driven by Jem Cooke’s effortless vocals that lift the track to an elegant vibe. Featuring a light Drum and Bass tone, Delta Heavy put forth their signature energy into this one. Surrounding elements the duo have included range from lighter rhythms laced underneath Cooke’s lyrics, to more powerful hitting rhythms towards the end. More than anything, “Take Me Home” truly paints an image in your head of starlit worlds coming together through intricate melodies and finely tuned bass.
Simon James and Ben Hall, better known as Delta Heavy are taking 2019 to the next level of their journey in electronic music. Since meeting at Nottingham University back in ’03, they have fostered a friendship and partnership that’s proved pivotal to both of them both personally and professionally. As a duo, their respective skill sets were perfectly matched: Simon was the one with the more traditional musical background while Ben had a penchant for sound engineering. Aligning their similar music interests, their knowledge bases, and their infatuation with DJ culture, Delta Heavy has moved through the ranks and continue to surprise the industry with their endless possibilities. Today they hold titles as Winners of Best Producers at the 2016 DNB Awards, and have topped charts with top #10 spots in both the U.S and U.K for their Paradise Lost album.
