Devault & The Bloody Beetroots Unveil “Hold On” as Part of the Full ‘RUBY’ EP
Rising electronic music artist Devault is swooping in with another one-of-a-kind single to add to his ongoing audiovisual series. This brand-new collaboration with The Bloody Beetroots, “Hold On,” is out now via Insomniac Records and is part of his RUBY EP, officially out today.
The track brings a strong kickstart to the EP accompanied by an equally provocative music video by Acetone Films. What started as a small project out of Orange County in 2016, Devault made it his mission to create a modern new wave sound with dark rhythms and ethereal sound design. In 2018, his career progressed into making official remixes for Rihanna, Lorde, and 6lack- generating millions of streams from across the globe and securing a #1 spot on the Billboard Dance charts. Last year, the LA-producer secured his position as one of electronic music’s top rising stars with the stunning releases of Jade and Sapphire, two all-original EPs.
“Hold On” stays true to Devault’s genre-defying sound, which is then meshed with The Bloody Beetroots vintage dance/punk influences. Complimenting each other perfectly, the track holds an ominous and upbeat style that leaves listeners wanting more. The pure energy of this track is astounding, but what makes this song even wilder is the music video that was released with it. In the visual aspect of the project, the main character makes their way through a warehouse setting while pursuing an important target. The suspense derived from both the audio and visual aspects of this release brings the narrative alive to viewers and listeners everywhere.
With his newest EP RUBY, Devault has proven his untethered fearlessness when it comes to pushing the boundaries of dance music. Acquiring more fans and streams every single day, he is sure to push his way to the top with every EP he releases. With a slew of new music and massive shows planned for 2020, this year is sure to bring massive success to Devault.
