DGTL Adapts to the Times, Converts House Music Festival into Virtual Playground Easter Weekend
Festival fans can rejoice once again. Although we can’t join in person, we can together join in spirit – this weekend, in fact, at the largest ever online house music festival organized by DGTL.
Brought together by their love of house music (and sustainability), the festival organizers over at DGTL were set to bring together a slew of the greatest house music artists and DJs at the NDSM Docklands nightclub in Amsterdam on April 11-12. In light of the coronavirus crisis, DGTL moved quickly to transform the experience into an entirely virtual one, meaning if you weren’t able to snag a ticket (or travel to Amsterdam) the first time around, you’re in luck.
Just like a regular music festival, DGTL will be streaming live sets across various “stages,” which you can toggle back and forth between while sipping on your own homemade cocktail. If you’re in Amsterdam, you can even pre-order drinks from local food vendors and know that you’re supporting the food heroes who are helping us all stay sane while providing critical resources during the crisis.
House fans will be happy to know that they can enjoy sets from a variety of favorite artists like Afrique, Deniro, Jasper Wolff, Mella Dee, Perdu, and many more. There will also be daily recaps, Revolution talks and Q&As about sustainability, as well as pre-event messages for the fans. Even though the experience is socially distanced, DGTL is still finding a way to bring us all together. DGTL also encourages festival fans to make a donation to hospital Erasmus MC during the online festival so that we can develop a vaccine and get back to the in-person dance parties we all love and miss.
