Dubstep Mainstay Spag Heddy Says “Sorry” to Fans With New Single
Netherlands-born and Spain-based dubstep mainstay Spag Heddy has been cooking up dubstep hits since 2011, when his club bangers quickly got the attention of fans and fellow industry colleagues alike. Now this incredible tastemaker gives listeners a small taste of his forthcoming debut album with the release of its first single from the LP – “Sorry,” The track sets the tone for The Noodle Effect (the album is set for its release on June 16 this year) while also serving as a heartfelt apology to his fans for releasing the album late (it was originally supposed to come out in 2022).
“I’m releasing ‘Sorry‘ purposely as the first song of the album, expressing my apology to my fans for not releasing the album in 2022 as I had promised. ‘Sorry‘ is one of my personal favorite songs. It throws back to the Spag roots, gypsy-style melodies, and distorted wobble basses in a drumstep format. To me, it evokes a nostalgic, yet at the same time melancholic feeling, hence its title – ‘Sorry.’” – Spag Heddy
“Sorry” is a nostalgic sonic journey that brings out the best of Spag’s “low key” style dubstep, with distorted melodies and vocals over a slow, driving bassline and stabbing mechanical synths and a small dose of cheekiness, “Sorry” is the first of 15 brand new tracks on The Noodle Effect, which tells us that Spag Heddy is going to make it one-hundred percent worth waiting for, so keep an eye out for more announcements on Spag’s new music coming soon. “Sorry” is out now via Spag’s very own independent Tomato Bass imprint.
But wait, there’s more. We can confirm that a Deluxe Version of the album is also in production, on which you’ll find more fresh originals from Spag as well as remixes from other artists.
