Dustycloud’s ‘Mad World’ EP Arrives via Deadbeats
Parisian DJ/Producer Dustycloud has arrived with his newest Mad World EP, officially out now via the esteemed Deadbeats record label.
Dustycloud has steadily climbed through the ranks of electronic music over recent years, and has now landed red-hot attention by Zeds Dead, leading towards this EP release on Deadbeats. From other releases on highly-respected labels like OWSLA, Confession Records, and Ultra Records, Mad World is now another impressive musical soundtrack to add to his rapidly growing repertoire.
“I’m lucky enough to be on a journey to find my place on this planet, but when you watch the news and see the crazy things going on in other people’s lives it makes it hard to focus on yourself. One thing I realized when I started to tour internationally was that no matter what was going on, wherever I was, people use music to forget. Even if it’s just for a song, or a set, or a night, music is its own world where we come together out of love. That’s what inspired this EP. I wrote it for everybody trying to find their own Fantasy to Survive this ‘Mad World.’ Enjoy.” – Dustycloud
The first track “Fantasy” draws listeners in with its sharp percussion and crisp beats that are jam packed with dance floor power. Featuring Tony Romera, “Fantasy” circles around with classic stylistic Dustycloud touches while also dishing up fresh energy. On the flipside, “Survive” builds up with haunting rhythms, showcasing a deeper and more dark side. This one is a definite emblem of the kind of music fans know and love Dustycloud for, produced with an addictive bassline. Together, both songs represent Dustycloud’s vision of providing a blissful escape to the often mad world we live in, and he has certainly done so with two fresh and meaningful records.
