Electric Forest Adds Additional Artists and Curated Stages in Latest Release
With a slew of various acts scheduled to make the stop in Rothbury this summer, Electric Forest has teamed up with dance music’s biggest names to give you curated stage events
Phase one was released via live social media interaction from attendees, and it left people more than satisfied with the guests who will be calling Electric Forest home. Per usual Electric Forest brought in the best of every musical genre to their festival. Far from typical electronic music festival you’re used to seeing, the line up thus far has been appealing for a wide assortment of listeners. You have everything from big time bass music acts such as Bassnectar and Major Lazer, to highly anticipated live sets from The Disco Biscuits and Nahko and Medicine for the People. STS9 will also be taking to the stage live doing an “Axe The Cable” performance.
Five different groups will be hosting special stage/artists events throughout the long weekend at Electric Forest 2016. Standing front and center the Anjunadeep team will be at Tripolee for its own affair. They are bringing a stacked team of label-mates that include the likes of Lane 8 and a special live set by Way Out West. At the All Good Records curated event they’ll be fittingly taking over the Observatory Stage featuring the French funkified filled duo The Geek & Vrv to the hub of the forest party.
It seems to be a progressive and bass takeover for the Tripolee stage as the Bassrush team gets their own slot as well. Bassrush is known for grabbing some of the top tier producers from the bass community for colossal events and represents well at this year’s Electric Forest. English veteran producers Caspa and Rusko travel across the pond to throw down a B2B set in Rothbury, a perforamnce you won’t want to miss.
The Forest Stage will be getting a dual-takeover as both Soul Clap’s House of EFUNK and Night Bass split time in one of the hottest spots in the venue. Soul Clap will be bringing dance music and hip-hop legend Egyptian Lover to its tucked away oasis. Night Bass has Justin Martin, the man responsible for one of the current must-listen albums, Hello Clouds, and more unannounced special guests in for its forest segment.
Attendees will spoil themselves with these curated stages offering a wide variety of musical genres to choose from. The animated stages and themed lineups are sure to play host to lively crowds through the duration of the festival.
