Eric Pyrdz Announces First & Only U.S. HOLO Show in New York City
Eric Prydz has been taking 2019 by storm under a range of stunning festivities. From his Pryda alias appearances, to releasing an album length’s worth of material, and to shaking the scene with his new live shows Holosphere and VOID (both sensational highlights of Tomorrowland and Creamfields), Prydz has announced his latest spree, HOLO, that will take over the New York Expo Center on December 27th and 28th.
Most recently, New York has received a full and proper dose of Prydz celebrations, including his Labor Day Weekend in NYC that featured two sets at Electric Zoo Festival and one unforgetabble after party at The Brooklyn Mirage (which has reportedly been labeled as the biggest of the year so far).
Prydz continues to push the envelope both in the studio and on the stage. Therefore, this winter he will showcase his critically acclaimed HOLO live show in New York at an extravagant location in the Bronx, the 60,000 square foot New York Expo Center. DEG Presents brings you the first and only U.S. performance of HOLO that will feature the greatest production levels of any past Prydz U.S. show.
Last year, HOLO was brought to life as a series of three concerts in the U.K. before its return to the Steel Yard in London this summer in a remarkable record-breaking time. This creative combination of video in conjunction with the classic Prydz light and laser set up, HOLO has become one of the most admired live shows in the electronic music community.
HOLO is an extension of Prydz’s original groundbreaking concert series, which surround his innovative use of holograms. The Verge labled these shows as, “the ambitious future of concert tech” this summer, when the sixth installment of EPIC, HOLOSPHERE, premiered at Tomorrowland. HOLO NYC contrasts greatly from HOLOSPHERE, which focused around Prydz inside a see through LED physical sphere.
HOLO is a milestone in itself since it marks the first major large-scale production concert from Pyrdz in America. He performed EPIC 4.0 in 2016, and as with EPIC as well as other Prydz concerts like V O I D, the HOLO shows are site-specific and temporal. No two Pyrdz shows are the same, and no other HOLO dates are planned for the future.
The pre-sale for both HOLO NYC shows will take place on September 10th at 10am EST, with pre-sale codes sent at 10am September 10th. It’s designed to help fans purchase tickets directly for the show and prevent scalpers from taking tickets to the secondary market.
