Eric Sharp Unveils Plans for Forthcoming EP with New Single “Like Water”
Eric Sharp has developed a strong reputation through his residency at LA’s coveted Sound Nightclub and through his performances at festivals like Coachella, SXSW, and Outside Lands. Now the young artist has put forth a brand new single, “Like Water,” kick-starting the anticipation for his forthcoming EP.
Released through Create Music Group, the track is inspired by a quote from the legendary martial artist, Bruce Lee, and its meaning has become a large part of Sharp’s career and mindset.
“Like Water” is a mesmerizing single that channels Bruce Lee’s message through sound, constructed with a gritty and pulsating bassline groove, energetic percussion, and layered perfectly with a soothing vocal from Doe Paoro that encapsulates the track altogether. The track marks the birth of the artist’s forthcoming EP, giving fans a variety of reasons to anticipate what’s to come in the upcoming year.
“Throughout my life, I’ve sought serenity heavily – serenity is calm within the storm, not absence of a storm. Water has the ability to be still and deep, or adapt to the fast pace of rushing rapids, and everything in between.” – Eric Sharp
Sharp’s career has been nothing but impressive thus far, releasing a slew of singles, collaborating with Anna Lunoe, and remixing acts like Major Lazer’s Jillionaire, GRAMMY-winners Jars Of Clay, and Atlantic Records’ Melanie Martinez. He has been featured on top Hype Machine charts, while his residency at LA’s Sound Nightclub has garnered the young artist a lot of buzz. So much is still in store for what Eric has under his belt, and the dance scene is eagerly awaiting announcements in the upcoming year.
