What The Festival returns to Wolf Run Ranch in Oregon for a transformative 3-day experience on June 16-19, 2017.

What The Festival is the ultimate boutique-style festival experience complete with interactive art, 8 stages of live and electronic music, a speaker series, forest camping, a splash pool, movement classes, and more. Located 90 miles east of Portland and right at the edge of Mount Hood National Forest, there is plenty of stunning scenery and bountiful space to forget the mundane and create new adventures. With its founders having years of experience with music production and involvement in Burning Man, they created a simple mission for What The Festival aimed at creating an impression on attendees lives that lasts long after the festival is over: “We want to move your bodies, senses, and souls. We want you to leave feeling connected and to be inspired from your full immersion into art, music, and community.”

WTF has nearly doubled in size since its inception in 2012, now hosting nearly 5,000 each summer and around 70 performing acts. Over the years WTF has brought an electric group of electronic and live music acts including The Glitch Mob, Beats Antique, Big Gigantic, Odesza, Griz, A-Trak, Flosstradamus, Purity Ring, XXYYXX, and more. Despite the impressive selection of artists and growing attendance rate, WTF organizers promise to remain true to their “small, boutique feel.”

Although WTF is an electronic music festival, it feels much more like an adult-friendly summer camp. By day attendees can chill out in the huge splash pool and watch DJs spin, or attend one of the many transformative seminars or movement workshops. At night, the mainstage (WTF) and Effin (a bass music-driven stage) provide spectacular music performances complete with awesome lighting and plenty of dancing under the stars. A comedy stage, LOL, provides entertainment from midnight until the early morning. Along with all this attendees can find food, art, and clothing vendors, games, hookah lounges, art installations, tons of amazing lounge spots, and plenty of other surprises.

What The Festival is a camping festival, with stunning, shady campgrounds at the edge of Mount Hood National Forest. Much like Burning Man, WTF heavily encourages sustainability and the “leave no trace” mantra. Standard camping is included in ticket prices ($300 for GA). Car, RV, and “boutique” camping options are also available for purchase. All camping and ticketing information can be found at whatthefestival.com/weekend-passes.
