Forbidden Kingdom Festival Arrives for Inaugural Edition in Florida
Although much of the U.S. has been chilled by the polar vortex of Winter, Festival Season has already commenced in sunny South Florida. This weekend, Saturday, February 16 and Sunday, February 17, Forbidden Kingdom is premiering at Sunset Cove Park in Boca Raton. This first time festival is sure to be a basshead’s paradise, with music from some of the top bass artists in the game. The lineup features TWO Excision sets (one as a b2b with Dion Timmer), Adventure Club, Zomboy, 12th Planet, Doctor P, Bear Grillz, Midnight Tyrannosaurus, Funtcase, SQUNTO, Sullivan King and more.
This fully-stacked dubstep and bass overload is just what South Florida has been begging for. Excision has taken his already outstanding Apex Tour and given it an extra kick, taking time to make this tour stop into a full-blown two-day fest. Florida is well-known for its community of devout bass lovers and the great parties to go beside them, so this weekend is sure to be unforgettable.

Forbidden Kingdom has even come out with their own official anthem by the one and only Nitti Gritti. We are also stoked to see that the fest will even include a Silent Disco stage for a chance to get some space from the wubs if needed. Backed by a production team who seems to have thought of it all, we’re looking forward to seeing the magic unfold in just a few short days.
The Sunset Cove Amphitheater in Boca Raton is notorious for food trucks and live music, hosting festivals in every genre. Last year Excision brought his 2018 Paradox Tour to the Cove, and we couldn’t be more excited for his return. We also can’t forget to mention the reason it is named Sunset Cove, as the lucky bassheads this weekend will be cast over with pink and orange skies alongside a waterfront view that is sure to stay true to its title. The combination of Valentine’s Day on Thursday and the sunsets this weekend may even bring a little extra love in the air for a few lucky festival attendees.
This two-day expedition is also unique in that it comes with a full backstory about how the Forbidden Kingdom came to be. The story is of a young girl, Alana, who is misled in the tales of her fallen village while she seeks revenge upon the
