Gareth Emery’s OPEN X CLOSE New Years Eve in Brooklyn
Calling all New Yorkers! As the city that never sleeps continues to roll on with massive talent spanning various stages all New Years Eve weekend, internationally acclaimed DJ/Producer Gareth Emery is just one day away from showing up to throw down in Brooklyn for a larger than life Open X Close set that is both wrapping up 2018 on a serendipitous note, and reigning in the year to come on an even more heavenly tone.
With consistent hype vamping up the show since its announcement, it’s safe to say the countdown for NYE has been flowing with nonstop thrill and excitement. Now that we’re closing in on the last 24 hours, we’re at the edge of our seats waiting to be swung into the new year in the most idyllic way imaginable: SEVEN, yes, seven hours of Gareth and his iconic trance tuneage. Accompanied by Emma Hewitt, Ashley Wallbridge, and Jonathan Mendelsohn, the Open X Close series is a surefire emblem of earlier rave days set in big, empty warehouses, with a sole focus on the music itself.
While 2018 has been home to numerous visionary Laserface productions by Gareth, Anthony Garcia, and the ever-innovative pew crew, the team will be kicking off 2019 with a marathon of grandiose proportions. Of course still coming equipped with lights, lasers, video, and all the proper bells and whistles that proper trance calls for, this NYE performance is diving into yet another new venture and marking a fearless transition into the explorative year ahead.
Traveling far and wide to rally for seven hours of pure masterpieces by the man himself, trance lovers from all over the nation can expect the carefully crafted showcase to take them through a blissful sonic journey through time and space. Filling the Brooklyn Hangar with nothing but raw and emotive songs, this is a chance for Gareth to not only mix in classic anthems like “Saving Light,” “Concrete Angel,” “Reckless,” “Hands” and many more, but a chance to delight the crowd with a creative all-nighter of mental build ups, drops, and progressions lasting through curfew.
With the Open X Close already over 85% sold out, there certainly is no more time to waste in scoring your golden ticket to an unforgettable night. So bring it on 2019, the festivities are only beginning!
