Germany’s Newest Festival San Hejmo is Ready for its Debut
From the people behind Germany’s biggest festival PAROOKAVILLE comes San Hejmo (Esperanto for ‘Holy Home’). On Saturday, August 20th, for the first time the art and Cultural Festival will take place in the Lower Rhine Weeze.
This Festival is an incredible feat of strength from the organizers. Where in just under four weeks, after the sold out sixth edition of PAROOKAVILLE, a new completely special festival landscape emerged: The San Hejmo Festival presents a colorful mixture of musical, cultural and artistic highlights. In addition to headliner acts such as Marteria and Loredana on the 65 meter wide Mainstage and Felix Jaehn on the Parookaville Club Circus stage will also be there give party acts like Blümchen, Captain Jack and Die Atzen their own stage. The Construction work on the adventure area for 20,000 visitors is almost complete closed. 25 renowned street artists – including global greats such as Bordalo II and Hera – are already on site and are working on a total of around 1,000 square meters of outdoor artworks.
San Hejmo holds a world premiere with the streaming stage at Fanblast Village. Here we will see the German Twitch superstar Jens “Knossi” Knossalla together with celebrities Friends like Marc Eggers, the Elevator Boys and Selfie Sandra live for eleven hours stream. Exclusive urban art makes the San Hejmo experience unique
The Urban Art District is definitely one of the must-see places in San Hejmo – here the 25 national and international street artists are at home and presenting their works of art created especially for San Hejmo. On the whole area there’s ‘the murals’, which are up to 8 meters high and 100 square meters in size, with installations, graffiti and paintings on display. In this way, the hand-picked ones make their mark on the look of the festival and create a unique art experience.

For the premiere on August 20, 2022, the San Hejmo Festival starts for one day (Opening hours: 1 p.m. to 1 a.m.) and without camping for 20,000 visitors. That Music and culture festival is open to everyone over the age of 16. The regular ticket price is 89 euros. The box office for spontaneous people is open on Saturday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets cost 99 euros.
