Governors Club Debuts ‘Open Air NY’ Dance Music Series on NYC’s Governors Island

‘Open Air NYC’ is launching this year at Governors Club on New York City’s Governors Island. Powered by Space Ibiza NY, the Opening Fiesta will take place on May 16 with a soundtrack from “Believe” with Boris and Steve Lawler.

Prepare for the summer months in New York with the inaugural ‘Open Air NY,’ which is just a ferry ride away from the city that never sleep’s own island of electronic oasis. TC Events & Promotions LLC—the team behind producing and programming of Time Warp New York in November 2014—have partnered with The Lure Group—a full service hospitality company behind major brands Slate and Clinton Hall—to exclusively produce ‘Open Air NY.’

The outdoor electronic music series at The Lure Group’s Governors Club at Governors Island will offer a refreshing atmosphere during its inaugural session, which begins in May and lasts through September.

If you’re accustomed to summer nights on Governors Island, you’ll be thoroughly pleased with the enhancements Governors Club has to offer—especially with ‘Open Air NY.’ Some of the enhancements include a reconfigured layout, improved sound and ligting systems, all new food area for vendors with a great variety for attendees, and an 80-foot long main bar with expansion into the tent.
