NOCTURNAL TIMES: Stress” is your first release since 2020. What’s different about this single from anything else you’ve released in the past? 

ICY NARCO: Stress is definitely more of a rock sound. It’s a different sound but it’s not. It’s still me. Time brings growth, and I’m not trying to be known for one genre. I just want to make music that connects with people.

NOCTURNAL TIMES: Now that you’ve left 10k Projects, what are your plans for the future? 

ICY NARCO: *Looks up with a smile* Well, I signed a multi-million dollar deal with only two songs out. After a while I realized, it all happened so fast for me I never fully got to enjoy certain moments from the fire I started. Now, being independent and having a deeper understanding of the industry.  I’ve started to assemble a team to help capture the vision in my head.  I feel like there’s nothing holding me back at this point. It’s easy to function creatively when you have people around with the same vision as the artist. 

NOCTURNAL TIMES: We hear there is a music video in the works for this release. Can you tell us about the story and inspiration behind the video?

ICY NARCO: Basically, the video and song are about a love story that has come to an end. I love making music about past (and usually present) emotions that I feel like the world can relate to. That’s my way of reaching out my hand and let my fans know they’re not alone.

NOCTURNAL TIMES: Use 4 words to describe your current music style. 

ICY NARCO: 1 of 1. Refreshing. Futuristic. Voltage.

NOCTURNAL TIMES: If you could give advice to new artists starting their music career today, what would it be, and why?

ICY NARCO: The same advice that some old legends that inspired me, told me when I finally met them.

“To truly win is to be yourself. Even if that’s a rockstar. Don’t let the word no get in the way of your path. “

NOCTURNAL TIMES: If you could collaborate with any living artist, who would it be and why?

ICY NARCO: Gerard Way. I’ve always loved the raw energy and huge sound that My Chemical Romance has. 

NOCTURNAL TIMES: What does the rest of 2021 hold for Icy Narco?

ICY NARCO: I’m going to be consistently dropping singles over the next few months. From Classic Icy “808 Ragers” to new alternative vibes with live instruments. Leading up to a new project. Maybe, Winter Can Be Murder 2! 😉

NOCTURNAL TIMES: Where do you see yourself within 5 years?

ICY NARCO: A fully glowed-up rockstar. Hopefully, I can still be part of something bigger than myself.
