Jamie xx Brings ‘The Floor’ Residencies to NYC & LA

It’s been shy of a month since Jamie xx announced his third studio album In Waves –  scheduled to drop on September 20. And now, to coincide with the announcement and in preparation for the LP release, Jamie xx is making waves for his next run of shows. 

After recently soft-launching The Floor concept overseas a few months back, the 35-year-old British DJ and producer is bringing the residency to the U.S., presenting The Floor residencies in New York City and Los Angeles this summer.

While we don’t know the exact location(s), promoters/event organizers Teksupport shared details on their socials for Brooklyn, and Lights Down Low for DTLA.

Jamie xx posted on his Instagram to make the exciting announcement.

“It’s already been 2 months since The Floor. It was a mad and inspiring experience. I got to open my dream club, play 10 nights in a row with friends and collaborators, and create a space inspired by my own experiences in London’s underground club scene.

Now I’m bringing The Floor to NYC and LA for five consecutive nights in each city.

As with The Floor in London, each venue and line up will be specially curated to represent the best in the local scene and my love for both these cities. They will be in Bushwick and DTLA, and the exact location will be revealed to ticket holders only.

The Floor + Friends will be making five consecutive nights in each city.

UPDATE: Tickets have been sold-out, but keep an eye out for additional tickets that may get released.
