Jengi Returns With ‘Rare’ EP
Another young Dutch maestro to grace the electronic music scene, Jengi has returned with his third EP Rare. After teasing out the EP with singles “Rollerskates” and “Ice Tea,” Rare is officially out in full with two more additional tracks.
A true experimenter and vocal-chop musical genius, Jengi is cementing a name for himself in the industry as an artist with an original story. Finding inspiration after drinking cheap wine and making punk music for fun with his friends, he’s a secret introvert on a mission. A mission that is, to reimagine and bring to life classic yet visionary sounds that electronic music thrives upon.
Kicking off the EP is none other than “Feel Good,” setting the rhythmic tone for all uplifting beats to come. Rare manifests an avant-garde interpretation of 80s funk & soul, as well as fuses together Jengi’s classic energetic sound with respected South Korean singer SUMIN’s style. SUMIN is featured on “Far Away,” and not only does the record soar in heartfelt voice, but is hyped up alongside its Seoul based music video. Drawing inspiration largely from soulful disco creativity coming within music of South Korea, Rare encompasses all those feels as well as vamps up more melodious vibes that can’t help but put evolutionary marks upon Jengi’s sound.
