Mat Zo Brought MAD Tour to Webster Hall For Gotham
Dance music fans lined up for blocks to catch a glimpse of Mat Zo at the iconic New York City nightclub on Oct. 1st
On Sat., Oct. 1st, thousands gathered lining the legendary NYC nightclub, Webster Hall, to catch a DJ set from Mat Zo amid his MAD Tour. In addition to Mat’s ensemble, The Gotham themed event also included showcases from Dischetto and Tjani.
The recently launched Gotham event invites city-goers to “Join the human race, every Saturday night.” Energy was high as thousands filled the Webster Hall Main Ballroom for Mat Zo’s Big Apple Mad Tour stop. Following the release of his MAD EP via his Mad Zoo label in September, which included the tracks “Troglodyte,” “Take It Back” feat. Foreign Beggars, and “MAD.”

During his Gotham ensemble, Zo incorporated his own “Soul Food,” his buzz-worthy remix of Porter Robinson’s “Flicker,” Command Q & JSTRJR “Gobble”Execute “Roller,” with Above & Beyond “Walter White,” Execute “Miracles,” and Wolfgang Gartner “Menage A Trois.”
Additionally heard tracks throughout the course of the evening were Duke Dumont “Street Walker,” Moderat “A New Error,” Btrax “Sandstorm,” and Milk & Sugar “My Lovin (Mat.Joe Remix).”
The 19+ Gotham event at 125 E. 11th St. also offered sets from Sean Sharp, Dlo, and Suga Ray in the Marlin Room; Bassment sessions with Subset + guests in The Studio; and Atomic Design, Shane S. and Sick Visuals served up live art installations.
The MAD Tour began in early September at Nocturnal Wonderland in San Bernardino, CA. Up next on the MAD Tour, Zo stops in Pontiac, MI at Elektricity (10/7); Winnipeg, MB at District Stop (10/13); Calgary, AB at Marquee (10/14); Costa Mesa, CA at Sutra (11/10); San Diego, CA at Bassmnt (11/11); and Los Angeles, CA at Create (11/12).
