Matoma & The Vamps “Staying Up” [Big Beat Records]
Matoma & The Vamps come together for their recent lively collaboration “Staying Up.” Released on September 1st, the track is available everywhere via Big Beat Records.
“Staying Up” is the perfect fun, upbeat, feel-good tune to end your summer. Reminiscent of wild nights that you never want to end, the song is a super catchy tribute to good times with good friends as well as the journey of friendship between Matoma & The Vamps.
This isn’t the first time the norwegian producer has collaborated with pop-rock group The Vamps. They first came together on “All Night” which was an instant smash hit, garnering over 265 million streams on Spotify. Featured both on Matoma’s experimental album project Hakuna Matoma and The Vamps’ #1 album Night & Day (Night Edition), the track was a precursor to their more amped-up collab on “Staying Up,” and eventually went Gold after a 14-week run in the Top 40.

Matoma shared his thoughts:
“One of the best things to come from the release of ‘All Night’ was getting to meet and know The Vamps – seriously some of the nicest guys I’ve met in the music business and also the most talented and hard-working people! We always talked about doing another song together like a second chapter of the story, and we came up with this fun idea ‘Staying Up’. For me it’s about not wanting the party to stop, and after an amazing summer that’s exactly how I’m feeling right now!”
Brad from The Vamps adds, “After meeting Matoma through collaborating on our most successful song to date ‘All Night’ we’ve all become really close friends, so we naturally started working on new music together! We came up with this idea for ‘Staying Up’ and the hook and the melody was just so catchy we couldn’t get it out of our heads, so we knew it was the one!”
