MEMBA & Levus Alone Join for Powerful New Single “Overrated”
Today, MEMBA has released the captivating new single “Overrated” featuring Levus Alone on ODESZA’s Foreign Family Collective. The duo also known as, Will Curry and Ishaan Chaudhary, have been building momentum with their signature style heard in their popular SAGA I and SAGA II releases from the past couple of years.
“Overrated” overflows with a variety of electric melodies that allow listeners to escape reality. MEMBA succeeds in seamlessly combining their weighty and powerful trap instrumental with the smooth pitch-bended vocals from Levus Alone. This dynamic contrast makes this collaboration unstoppable and the track transcends the listener from start to finish.
“We wrote it pre-pandemic. Levus Alone had flown in from London to kick it with us in Brooklyn. He wanted to see Times Square, but we never made it out of the studio. This song is a rare blend of sounds, it’s got equal r&b, grime, trap, and mirchi parts. It’s a combo we haven’t heard before and we love how the two stark flavors mix up so nicely.’’ -MEMBA
MEMBA has been establishing a sound that is new, cinematic, and completely unique to them. They continue this mission with “Overrated” and do not plan to slow down. They are a one-of-a-kind act that consistently blows away your expectations with new sounds. Known for previous singles such as, “Strider,” “Meet Freedom,” and “Walls Down,” they always seek out new inspiration and influences for their tracks.
