Orbital Releases New Studio Album, ‘Optical Delusion’
Today marks a special day for global tastemakers Orbital who have officially dropped their 10th studio Optical Delusion . Chock full of sounds for every electronic lover, this album was built to last the ages.
Throughout listening to the album, one will find twists and turns of surreal moments alongside beautifully crafted rhythms and melodies. Sketched out partly during lockdown but fully recorded in the uncertain After Times, the album summons up conflicting emotions and beguiling images from recent times that offer up somewhat of a dark side to reality.
Paul and Phil Hartnoll of Orbital have managed to stay on top of their a-game despite the uncertain times of lockdown and further dystopia in the industry. Their worldwide fanbase has come to know and love the sounds that these creative geniuses are so well recognized for, and its songs like these which keep them one step ahead of everyone else. Optical Delusion features songs like “Ringa Ringa,” “Day One,” “Are You Alive?,” “You Are The Frequency” and “Dirty Rat” amongst many others. Altogether, the plethora of sonic imagery that pours from this album will have listeners coming back time and time again. Optical Delusion is out now via London Records.
