With offices in Los Angeles and Nashville, Prescription Songs is an independent publisher representing some of today’s top songwriters and producers across all genres of music and is responsible for some of the most recognizable songs of the last 20 years. Now we see the leading independent publishing company announce the recent promotion of Cameron Kooklanfar to A&R Manager. Cameron is based out of the Los Angeles office where he works closely with recent signing Hayley May, and also works alongside talents Bantu, Shae Jacobs, Kevo, Dominique Sanders, Seb (1Mind), and Lourdiz, among others.

“We are excited to announce Cameron’s well-deserved promotion to A&R Manager. His tireless work ethic, knowledge across musical genres, and passion for identifying and nurturing the best talent makes him a great A&R. We couldn’t be more proud to see him continue his journey with the team at Prescription Songs.” – Rhea Pasricha, (Prescription Songs’ Head of A&R, West Coast)

Since joining Prescription Songs in June 2022, Kooklanfar has taken his management and A&R experience to the next level, working with talented songwriters, producers and artists across a diverse catalogue. Witnessing the process of a demo, written at a songwriting camp he curated in collaboration with Insomniac, to a globally successful track has been a significant milestone in Kooklanfar’s career. The song, “Sideways” by Gordo & Drake, co-produced by Prescription Songs’ Bantu, has gained widespread attention, particularly in festivals, clubs, and parties, since its release in July 2024.

“It’s been a privilege to grow my career at Prescription Songs, and I’m truly excited to take on the role of A&R Manager. With the guidance and support of an incredible team, and amazing creatives to work alongside, I’ve been able to make significant strides and contribute to something both unforgettable and boundary-pushing every day.” – Cameron Kooklanfar
