We caught up with the guys to hear about what they’ve been working on and what they’re looking forward to in the new year. Read on in our interview below and stay tuned for all things to come from Quincy Boy Records.
Nocturnal Times: You will be joining forces with Founder LEFTI to take the label Quincy Boy Records to the next level. What and how are your plans to make this happen? And what are you looking forward to the most in this endeavor?
Rich: What I think all of us are really looking forward to the most is working on this together. We are all great friends and love playing together, so working on this label together just made sense. With our combined music knowledge and network, we were able to plan some amazing records for next year including many of our own tracks and collaborations. We already have a ton of great parties planned to bring out community together and create memories. That’s really what it’s all about.
Nocturnal Times: With 2022 coming to an end what is your most memorable moment that stood out for you this year and why?
LEFTI: There were a “few” moments really… I think doing the compilation and remix pack was two really amazing experiences. I saw it bring the community closer together and everyone really supported one another; it was amazing to see that happen. Lastly, getting Song of the Week on BBC Radio 1 with my collab with Selena Faider – “Party People” was an unexpected surprise and big win for both of us as artists and Quincy Boy.
Nocturnal Times: Looking forward to 2023 we noticed there are many exciting things for you happening. Which are some you’d like to share?
LEFTI: New tracks, compilations, a residency, and the list goes on. What are you most excited about? Having Rich and Nick involved is a very exciting big step which I couldn’t be more excited about. I gotta say, though,I am really excited to get the events going. We just had our first couple of parties, and they were beyond my expectations, to say the least.
