Shingo Nakamura Drops Impactful Album ‘Solace’
Shingo Nakamura is a Tokyo-based producer and DJ hailing from Ibaraki (Japan). Shingo is especially known for a progressive house style that blends deep and lyrical sounds with classical piano. Now the Melodic house producer continues his momentous rise by unveiling his highly-anticipated studio album Solace on MonstercatSilk.
“This was my first time making music outside of Japan. I worked in studios and with artists in LA, Seattle, and with BT in DC. Blending Japanese and American styles and influences gives the album a global sonic journey. I would be happy if the album can accompany all of you as you travel and find solace in your own adventures.” – Shingo Nakamura
Featuring previous releases “Prism,” “Come Closer,” the second-most played song on SiriusXM Chill in 2023, and “Lifeforce” with Grammy-nominated producer BT, Solace blends Shingo’s signature piano melodies with his stunning scenery-setting artistry reflecting many influences from time spent on the road with his fans. The 14 track package is elevated with emotive atmospheres and richly layered rhythms, delivering a cathartic journey evoking deep, meaningful sensations – hallmarks of Shingo’s ability to narrate life experiences through beautiful, melodic, organic, and progressive house records that touch more than just the ears of listeners. ‘Solace’ is joined by the title single with Monstercat Silk veteran Mango and singer-songwriter Nina Carr. “Solace” showcases Nina Carr’s ethereal vocals with lyrics that explore the uncertainty and risks of love, while also highlighting the passion and freedom that can emerge encouraging listeners to embrace comfort in vulnerability. Shingo also welcomes collaborations with fellow artists Jordin Post, LAR, Hausman, Stendahl, Misc.Inc, and Oliver River for an eclectic mix of cosmic textures and diverse musical perspectives that further expand the powerful range of Solace. Solace is out now on all mayor streaming platforms.
Shingo has positioned himself as more than just Japan’s leading melodic house producer, making a significant impact in North America with sold-out live shows, receiving momentous support on SiriusXM Chill as the third most-played artist in 2023, and features on high-end media like Billboard and Forbes. Fans can catch Shingo live at his sold out show upcoming October 10th at Elsewhere in New York in celebration of the Solace LP launch and is gearing up to play his biggest headline to date at Audio in San Francisco on November 9th while he opens for SABAI at Stereo Live in Dallas, The Showbox in Seattle, and 45 East in Portland.
