Shutdown Festival Celebrates Successful 7th Edition with 15,000 Visitors

Shutdown Festival is Austria’s leading Hard Dance festival, held annually at the Zwentendorf (Austria) nuclear power plant. Since its inception in 2017, the festival has grown to become a staple event in the Hard Dance calendar, attracting fans from all over the world for a day of unparalleled music and community. For its 2024 edition 15,000 visitors from 20 countries reunited at the Nuclear Power Plant and celebrated together for 12 hours. The organizers look back at an edition filled with musical highlights and new memories and already look forward to the 2025 edition.

Impressive Genre Variety
Fans from all Hard Dance genres got their fill – from Euphoric Hardstyle to a trip down memory lane with Hardstyle and Hardcore Classics, to Raw Hardstyle, Hardcore, Uptempo, and Terror. The Hard Dance genre variety at Shutdown is unmatched in Austria. The largest artists of each sub-genre were represented – from Shutdown Anthem Maker Vertile, to Rebelion, Sub Zero Project, Mish, Dither, Dimitri K, and many more. Each artist brought their unique sound to the stage.

Positive Feedback from the Red Cross
During the event, 146 people were treated at the on-site medical station. Notably, the seamless cooperation between the organizers and the Red Cross, as well as the collaboration with other emergency services (Fire Brigade, Water Rescue, Police), was exemplary.

Perfect Festival Weather
Shutdown was blessed with ideal festival weather. Mostly sunny conditions and temperatures up to 28 degrees provided great vibes all day long. Weather updates provided by wetter.tv.

Looking Ahead to Shutdown 2025
The organizers already announced the dates for the 8th Edition of Shutdown Festival. Hard Dance lovers can look forward to coming back to the Nuclear Power Plant Zwentendorf on August 9, 2025. Limited Loyalty Tickets for #SD25 will be available on August 8, 2024 at 6pm CEST.
