Skrillex, Fred again.., Four Tet Full Coachella 2023 Set Weekend 2 [WATCH]
OMG TBA! Skrillex, Fred again.., and Four Tet’s closing set at Coachella 2023 is already going down as one of the most memorable in the festival’s history. Today (Sunday, May 7), two weeks after Coachella weekend two, the full set premiered on Coachella’s YouTube channel — and we’re so very thankful that it did.
The set, which was announced just days before the event was slated to take place, almost instantaneously went down in Coachella history as one of the best, fun, and most talked about since the show’s inception. It wasn’t until Frank Ocean dropped out of the second weekend of Coachella early on in week two that blink-182 were announced as headliners, followed by what appeared on the schedule as “TBA.” Within an hour of posting the schedules, it was revealed that TBA was indeed Skrillex, Fred again.., and Four Tet. Packed with hits from all three artists, the ensemble also includes the much talked about country riddim, as well as some mash-ups and edits featuring Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus (thanks to Kieran). Watch the full 90-minute performance from Skrillex, Fred again.., and Four Tet, below.
From the buzz the set generated on social media, from the minute the trio took to the 360 in-the-round stage, it was apparent that it was going to be one for the books. This should come as no surprise, given that the troupe also recently sold out the World’s Most Famous Arena, Madison Square Garden in New York City, in a matter of minutes after it was announced. During this time, Skrillex also surprise-dropped two brand new albums, and the guys played two additional shows in NYC, including a pop-up on a bus in Times Square, as well as an intimate show at Le Poisson Rouge (LPR). Since wrapping their Coachella 2023 performance, Fred again.. also released an ambient-inspired album alongside Brian Eno, Secret Life, which dropped on Friday, May 5.
