Originally from Chicago, DJ/Producer Snyder is jumping into New Music Friday today with his newest single “Petrified” featuring 51b. Following his previous release of 2020 “Narcissist,” Snyder is revealing even more charisma this time around.

Laced with strong male vocals by 51b, “Petrified” hooks listeners into its story and mysterious vibe. Building up with steady momentum, the track then drops into a haunting set of rhythms. Mixing in flavorsome elements of electronic, pop, hip-hop and mainstream, “Petrified” is a finely tweaked piece of Snyder’s innate ability to crossover genres and fuse nothing but velvety smooth sounds together.

“B and I have an undeniable chemistry when it comes to dance records. It’s funny, when we first started working in 2018 he hadn’t touched the electronic music genre, now we have something like 6 Dance records all slated for release over the next few years. ‘Petrified’ was originally called ‘Can’t Let Go’, and we sat on it for over a year. Most times when I have a record I’ll sit on it and try to perfect it over a certain period of time, this one went through several different phases over the course of that year and a half and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.” – SNYDER

Arguably more exciting than the song itself is its accompanying video. Showing off an ideal complement to its audio levels, the “Petrified” music video is moving art at its finest. Made up of visually appealing, rave-inspired moments, the video enhances colorful explosions and neon-based components. Taking the uptempo and groovy track to a more enticing level, Snyder is now behind one of the coolest projects around at the moment.

2019 was a strong year for Snyder, who left with multi-million streams on Spotify alone with releases like “Crazy,” “Sometimes,” and “Till Nothing Is Left.” He takes a lot of inspiration from the handful of cities he has lived including New York City, London, Houston, and more. Snyder takes pride in his versatility and enjoys playing many different genres of electronic music all the way from House to Dubstep – he loves sharing his energy with the crowds he is in front of and always has a wide selection to keep people moving.
