Spinnin’ Records Takes the Spotlight in ADE 2019 Festivities
When it comes to record label takeovers, there’s nothing quite like Spinnin’ Records to showcase their 10/10 festivities surrounding all things music, freshly minted performances, and of course, their off the charts roster of world-class talent and artistry. This year, Spinnin’ stormed through the Q-Factory in Amsterdam for a whirlwind of special events, exclusive guest speakers, and unforgettable shows.
Including two of their signature events, Spinnin’ Sessions and the Spinnin’ Gaming Tournament, ADE featured an all-too classic dose of the adventurous styles of the label. Bassjackers, Firebeatz, Joe Stone, Mesto, La Fuente, Sam Feldt and more swept the stage of the Q-Factory during Spinnin’ Sessions, all performing for an electrifying crowd from start to finish. The special energy that arises during ADE is incredibly unique, and Spinnin’ Sessions is a staple event of the week that fans look forward to for the entire year. Each set brought blood-pumping moments and imaginative sets, and it’s safe to say fans are already in search of their next Sessions showdown.
Of course, it wouldn’t have been the same without a little friendly competition amidst artists, gamers, and special guests at the Spinnin’ Gaming Tournament. We caught glimpses of Jay Hardway, Afro Bros, The Him, Blasterjaxx, Lucas & Steve, Mike Williams, Curbi, Jonas Aden, and Oliver Heldens among others going head to head in a series of games that marks a genuine gaming paradise for attendees. 2019 saw champions of FIFA20, Mario Kart, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4; all making for a playful afternoon that was a relaxing sort of break from ADE’s hecticness, and a chance to catch everyone in an alternative setting to behind behind the booth.
Friday night stole the show as Lucas & Steve played host to a crowd full of effervescent fans, all who came ready to rage with a lineup of relentless musical depth at Skyline Sessions. Mesto and The Him were two Dutch acts of the night who opened up before Lucas & Steve, and it’s always a delightful scene to be part of a crowd where artists are playing to their home city. It brings out a sort of mesmerizing presence, something both Mesto and The Him manifested into masterful sets. When the time came for Lucas & Steve to take over, the Q-Factory’s roots were absolutely shaking with rolling movement. Devotees to the duo were in a state of pure bliss, experiencing another starlit set by the guys mixing in smashing soundscapes and treasured tracks.
Spinnin’ Records continues to redefine and shape the electronic sphere, captivating the world with new groundbreaking artists as well as boasting many of the industry’s most sought after names. It was an unforgettable week with Spinnin’, who yet again outdid themselves in creating knockout experiences for everyone who took part in their ADE extraordinaire.
