Takis Releases Profound Debut EP ‘Season 1: Welcome Home’

Canadian-born DJ/producer Takis is a rapidly flourishing creator to watch, always astounding listeners with his one-of-a-kind musical endeavors. Passionate about music from a young age, Takis’ artistic vision came to life after attending his first electronic dance music festival. “I’ll never forget seeing the energy that this music created”, Takis explains. “I immediately knew that I wanted to merge the music I grew up loving so much with the energy and “feeling” that dance music gave me. Going to that festival changed my life forever.”

Since then, Takis knew that every life experience leading up to that moment was enough to curate one beautifully composed musical compilation. His backstory, his memories, his hardships, his feelings, all of it has led to his debut EP, Season 1: Welcome Home, out now via Armada Music. In essence, Takis’ latest project is simply an embodiment of how his past has ironically shaped his future, and is an inspirational masterpiece that features a plethora of other like-minded aspiring creators that can attest to having a similar upbringing.

“The day I started making music, I had a confusing love-hate relationship with my hometown that I couldn’t seem to shake. It seemed like I was alone in this, but when I started working with other artists, I came to realize that they all had their own stories from their upbringing and that everybody wants to become their own person. That’s what this album and career chapter represents for me, and I hope to be moving forward each and every season to show growth and to allow my fans to be part of an evolving story.” – Takis
