The 60th GRAMMY Awards Announce Nominations for New York Return

The GRAMMY Awards are returning to the Big Apple to celebrate 60 years — for the first time in 15 years — and the nominations for the commemorative ceremony have been announced.

The Recording Academy—along with singer/songwriter Andra Day—kicked off the 60th GRAMMY Awards nominations today (Tuesday, November 28) by revealing the four General Field categories (Best New Artist, Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and Album Of The Year). The nominees will be revealed at 8:30am ET on CBS This Morning (for all General Field Nominations). A Complete Nominations List is available at on GRAMMY.com.

Early predictions placed Ed Sheeran and Kendrick Lamar at the forefront. Kesha’s reinvention, Lady Gaga’s raw Joanne, and did Taylor Swift make the cut, are all among the questionable fan considerations that were surfacing in the weeks leading up the reveal. 

For the first time since their 45th edition in 2003, The GRAMMYs make their return to New York City’s Madison Square Garden. This year’s ceremony will be hosted by James Corden for a second consecutive year. 

The 60th GRAMMY Awards air live from The Garden on Sunday, January 28 on CBS at 8pm EST.
