Your Shot USA & Tiësto Will Train New Wave of DJs

Electronic dance music icon and GRAMMY-Award winning DJ and producer Tiësto has teamed with Your Shot for an ultimate DJ training competition. Your Shot is one of the world’s largest DJ competitions in Australia, which will make its debut in the US on Vevo this year. Powered by 7UP, the 10-part web series sets out to document the journey of 30 aspiring DJs who will receive extensive DJ training and participate in DJ competitions. The winner will have the chance to perform with Tiësto in Las Vegas as well as at 7UP’s Stage 7 at Ultra Music Festival 2016.

Your Shot launched six years ago in Australia and has since forever changed the lives of thousands of aspiring DJs, adding an interesting twist to the dance music scene in Australia. In hopes of tackling the US dance music community, Your Shot powered by 7UP sets out to discover and train the next wave of DJs in America. What sets Your Shot apart from other contests of its kind is the fact that no DJ experience is necessary in order to enter.

Competition rounds are slated to include extensive DJ training at Your Shot Training Academy in Los Angeles as well as an event showcase in LA, which will include a packed crowd and panel of judges including Tiësto. Once Your Shot has selected the top 6 finalists, those DJs will head to Las vegas for a week of DJ challenges and mentoring with Tiësto as well as other noteworthy DJs. The end result for one lucky Your Shot contestant includes the winning title and the opportunity to open for Tiësto.
