Zedd and Kesha ‘True Colors’ Sees Release on Interscope Following Coachella Performance
Zedd and Kesha have teamed up for the official release of “True Colors”
Following a live performance during weekend one of Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, California, producer and DJ, Zedd, brought out Kesha as a special guest, the pair officially release a track together.
“True Colors,” which is the title track from Zedd’s latest studio album (2015), was re-released with vocals from Kesha following the live Coachella performance. Zedd reveals, “As artists, the need to create and share our music is what drives us. ‘True Colors’ is an extremely meaningful song to me and when I learned the song also spoke to Kesha it became even more special and took on new meaning. We went into the studio to reimagine “True Colors” together and I’m unbelievably excited to share this emotional collaboration with the world. This is more than just a song.”
The new rendition of “True Colors,” which features vocals from Kesha, is bold and powerful, offering a more intense take on the original edit. According to the famed pop vocalist, Kesha, she believes, “It’s such a blessing that Zedd has given me this opportunity to record his song ‘True Colors.’ This song’s message spoke to me so deeply that I knew I had to find my own interpretation and record it, to spread the beautiful message of personal empowerment. It gives me hope that I will someday soon be able to release my own album. Until then let’s all celebrate our own truth #truecolors.”
